Original etching by the British artist, Arthur Brisco, measuring 6 1/2 x 10 7/8 inches, 1926, signed and numbered; 62/75, cat: Hurst-158. Britain's "General Strike" was the theme of Brisco's dramatic image of "The Orator". The strike, mainly by coal-miners upset with their goverments' reduction in wages and worsening conditions, also included dockers, printers, power station workers and transport workers, thus Brisco's interest in the subject.

This is an original hand signed wood block print by Jamaican artist Albert Huie.  The title of this work is Road Mending, created and printed circa mid 1940's.  The image is signed and titled lower border, the image measures 7 3/4X5 7/8 inches, Good condition. 

Albert Huie (1920-2010) was a seminal figure in the formation and development of a national Jamaican artistic identity, overcoming the hurdles of a colonial-based system of race and class distinctions to become the first native-born Jamaican artist to attain international renown and respect. Working primarily in the areas of landscape, portraiture, and figurative art, he established a multiple award-winning career that spanned seven decades and earned him the title of “the Father of Jamaican Painting.”

This is an original etching by British artist Arthur Briscoe.  The title is: "Manning the Pumps".  This etching was created and printed in 1931 in an edition of 75.  This etching is hand signed and editioned in pen and ink by the artist.  The image measures 12 1/4X9 1/8 inches.  "The action shows the men manning the pumps which are in the waist of the ship, the wettest part of all when seas are coming aboard".  This etching is framed with archival materials.

This is a fine original wood engraving after Homer, published in Harpers Weekly in September 20, 1873.  This is a wood engraving with the original Harpers written story on the back of the sheet.  This is perhaps the best known of the large double paged images that were ever done for Harpers.  The image measures 13 9/16X 20 5/8 inches on a total sheet size of 15 15/16X21 7/8 inches.  Very nice condition, museum  matted and framed.  The title Snap the Whip, after the painting by Winslow Homer.  This image was engraved by W. This is a rare original etching and drypoint by Scottish artist David Cameron.  The title is: Wingless Chimera, Amiens Cathedral,  it was created and printed in 1911.  Hand signed in pencil, this etching measures an image area of 7 5/8X9 3/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet.  This image was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1911.  This image appears in the Rinder catalog as image number 416.

According to Schneider, this atmospheric image of the Massachusetts shore was one of Parrish's most popular etchings.
