This is an original etching by American artist Lemuel Eldred. It depicts a scene of fishing shacks most likely Cape Ann, Ma. copyright Faber 1889. This etching has an image size of: 4 1/2X8 inches, pencil signed lower left border. Nice use of plate tone in the sea and sky.

This is a very fine original etching, image size 5 5/8 x 8 5/8 inches, 1881, signed and dated in the plate. Mary Nimmo Moran was one of the leading women etchers of the late 19th century, and along with her husband, Thomas Moran was at the forefront of the etching revival. Known for the originality and boldness of her etchings, Mary Nimmo Moran was a member of the Society of Painter- Etchers and the only female member of the Fellows of London's Royal Society of Painter-Etchers.

Plate measures 10 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches on 15 x 19 inch laid paper. Inscribed in the lower left: "Copyright 1886 by C. Klackner, 17 E. 17th St, N.Y." This print has excellent detail, plate toning, and a rich drypoint burr.
