"Looking West" by Dexter Dawes measures 12 x 14 3/4 inches and is pencil signed by the artist on the lower margin. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.

A drypoint etching from 1867. First state of three. Printed before lettering. Plate signed and dated in the upper left. Plate measures 9 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches on chine colle. A richly detailed print with ecstatic, intricate linework.

This is an original color wood block print by Japanese artist Chinkanobu Toyohara.  It is from his Jidai Kagami series (Mirror of the Ages)  It was created and printed 1896-98.  Published by Matsuk Heikichi.  The image measures 12 7/8X8 inches.  Nicely presented with a custom linen mat.  The series 'Jidai Kagami', often translated as 'A Mirror of the Ages' is one of the most popular by the artist Chikanobu Yoshu. With 50 designs, it shows beauties with different hairstyles and lavish garments through various ages of Japanese history. The portraits are elaborately rendered, with a scene at the top which further references the time period or a memorable event that took place.

Etching with drypoint by Ernest Haskell measures 10 5/8 x 5 inches, plate signed, 1923. This was a presentation print for the Brooklyn Society of Etchers. Ernest Haskell was born in Connecticut and in the early 20th century spent time in both New York and Paris. While in Europe he met Whistler and was inspired to take up etching; his style was greatly influenced by the work of Whistler as well as that of Rembrandt, Da Vinci and Durer.

This is an original etching and drypoint by British artist Malcolm Osborne.  The title is: L'Oiseau de Bourges, it was created and printed in 1932.  The image measures 9 1/8X7 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower border, signed and dated in the plate.

This is an original lithograph, pencil signed and titled by American artist Lester G. Hornby.  The title of this work is: Gloucester Harbor, created circa 1920 this image is quite large measuring 13X17 1/2 inches.  A fine view of the Harbor traffic with the town in the distance.

This is a beautiful original etching with aquatint of a New Orleans alleyway. The image size is 12 1/4 x 10 3/8 inches, c. 1932, published by the Associated American Artists, with the original label, pencil signed. This image won an award from the Philadelphia Print Club and is included in the collection of the Library of Congress.

This drypoint etching was created by American artist Samuel Chamberlain.  It is titled: Far West Junk Shop, created and printed in May of 1929.  The image measures 4 5/8X8 3/4 inches.  Hand signed in pencil and editioned as 87/100.  This etching appears in the Chamberlain catalog as image number 77.  Very fine condition, a highly detailed image.

This is an original lithograph by American artist Lester Hornby.  It is titled: East Gloucester.  Created and printed in 1943, hand signed, titled and inscribed "to Virginia".  The image measures 12X16 inches.  A whimsical view of Summer on the water in Gloucester Harbor..

This rare, early 20th C. etching by Francis Hopkinson Smith measures 9 7/8 x 7 1/2 inches, pencil signed and titled. Smith was an author, artist and engineer, writing many books but also known for his atmospheric watercolors and oils. In his early years he is credited with building the foundation for the Statue of Liberty. At the age of 50 he gave up his engineering career and devoted the rest of his life to writing and painting.

This etching by the American artist Lionel Levy measures 11 x 7 inches, pencil signed, titled and numbered /75, framed.

This is a fine etching by British printmaker Martin Hardie.  The title is: The Bridge, Chioggia, Venice, done in 1926.  This impression is hand signed in sepia ink lower right, done in an edition of 80.  The image measures 7 7/8X11 1/4 inches,printed on a medium weight laid type sheet.  A rich impression with nice use of plate tone in the sea and sky.
