The "Gold Rush" series were images portraying gold mining activities from America, Africa and Australia. Moser, from Tennessee, became a graphic artist and printmaker, studying under Leonard Baskin and Jack Coughlin.

Frank P. Whiting  A twentieth century American architect and etcher, Frank Whiting studied architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then worked and studied under Ernest Flagg. During his career, Frank P. Whiting designed such buildings as the Farmer's Museum, Cooperstown, N. Y., the Burton Art Gallery, Bideford, and a number of colonial style homes in the United States. Frank Whiting lived and worked in both New York City and Cooperstown.

This is an original etching by French artist Edgar Chahine.  It is titled: Rio Ca Foscari, Venice.  It was created and printed in 1906 and was published by Gazette des Beaux Arts in Paris.  The image measures 8 5/8 X 5 5/8 inches.  This image appears in the Tabanelli catalog as image number 220.  There is a signature and title in pencil perhaps by another hand then the artist.

This series portrayed gold mining activities from America, Africa and Australia. Moser, from Tennessee, became a graphic artist and printmaker studying under Leonard Baskin and Jack Coughlin. In 1990 he became the "head of studio art" at the Rhode Island School of Design and his prints have been exhibited at the Berkshire Museum, the Los Angeles National Print Show and the Library of Congress National Print Exhibit. Moser states in his description of the images in this series of the "consumate dilemma" between the mining and the owning of gold, the high price politically, physically and spiritually that these men and their families paid for their dreams of a better life.

This is a fine original etching by American artist Henry Farrer.  The title is: The Washerwoman.  It was created in 1877, this impression was done on a thin Japan sheet, published by Estes and Lauriat, Boston, 1886,  This impression was plate signed lower left corner.  The image measures 4 1/2X3 1/2 inches.
