This is a great London etching by American artist Clifford Addams, image size 8 7/8 x 7 1/2 inches, c. 1902, edition of 75, inscribed in the plate, "Loci dulcedo nos attinet" (the sweetness of the place holds us), pencil signed and numbered. Clifford Addams grew up outside Philadelphia and studied art in the U. S. before leaving to further his studies in Europe. He traveled extensively throughout Holland, France, Spain, Italy and Britain, and spent several years in London studying etching with Whistler. He later returned to the U. S. and worked out of studios in both New York and London. He was known for his European city scenes, such as this Whistleresque image of a man gazing out over the busy Thames.

This is a highly detailed original triptych by Japanese artist Toyohara Kunichika.  This image of a group of Courtesans, created as a three panel color woodblock, dated 1865.  The image measures 14 1/4X28 34 inches, site size, this woodblock is framed.  Nice condition rich colors.

This lovely atmospheric image by William Wyllie measures 4 7/8 x 12 7/8 inches, pencil signed on the l.l. and created c. 1920. This is a view of Greenich from the Isle of Dogs with a view of the Royal Navel Academy on the left with the domes of the Royal Observatory high in the background. Wyllie was a well known marine painter and printmaker, studying at the Heatherley School of Fine Art and then at the at the Royal Academy. At the age of 18, Wyllie won the Turner Gold Medal for his painting "Dawn After A Storm". He went on to have a long artistic career, specializing in paintings and etchings of the sea and the city of London. In this etching, Wyllie uses remarkably delicate lines and subtle tones to create an atmospheric image in this busy harbor scene.

This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Stow Wengenroth.  The title is: The Far Shore, Ogunquit, Maine, created and printed in 1957 in an edition of 200.  The image measures 8X13 7/16 inches.  The image appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 238.

Locked Ward Series, This Trip Has Walls, 1965 , in an edition of 75. Printed on an Arches, wove type sheet. This  lithograph  measures 20X26 inches.  Hand signed lower border in pencil.  Mazur volunteered to conduct art therapy sessions at the Howard State Institute in Providence R.I. there he  created the series, "Closed Ward"  and later "The Locked Ward".  This is image number 85 from The Locked Ward Series.

This is an original Triptych color wood block print by Japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada.  This one image from his Nishiki-e series created and printed in 1860.  Each panel has the artists signature along with numerous stamps and seals.  The overall image measures 14 1/4X29 1/4 inches.  Nicely framed.

This is an original pencil signed etching by British artist Symour Haden.  The title is: The Island Opposite Boyle's Farm, created and printed in 1869.  The image measures 6 7/8X9 7/8 inches.  Catalog: Schneiderman 126.  This is the forth state of five.  "This island, Boyle Farm Island, is the second largest of three islands in the Thames River. It contains a single house, home to just one family. It is directly opposite the historic mansion of Boyle Farm, which is now known as the Home of Compassion in Thames Ditton in the Elmbridge borough of Surrey, England." (Annex)

Closed Ward Series, Her Place, #8, created and printed in  1962 , in an edition of 30.  Printed on a Fabriano Murillo wove type sheet.  This  etching and aquatint, measures 23 3/4X17 ¾ inches. Hand signed lower border in pencil.  Mazur volunteered to conduct art therapy sessions at the Howard State Institute in Providence R.I. there he  created the series, "Closed Ward"  and later "The Locked Ward".  This is image number 8  from The Closed Ward Series.

From His Closed Ward Series, Portrait #2 created and printed in 1965.  Hand signed in pencil.  An edition of 25 this image measures a sheet size of 25 7/8X19 7/8 inches.  Printed on an Arches wove type sheet.  Mazur volunteered to conduct art therapy sessions at the Howard State Institute in Providence R.I. there he  created the series, "Closed Ward"  and later "The Locked Ward".  This is image number 8  from The Closed Ward Series.

Published by Associated American Artists in New York,  in 1937; in edition of 250.  Painter, portrait painter, caricaturist, illustrator, lithographer, writer, art educator. Peggy Bacon studied with John Sloan and Kenneth Hayes Miller.

This airy, impressionistic line etching depicts a man fishing in a forested landscape. Etched circa 1900, its measurements are 5 7/8 x 7 3/4 inches and it is signed "A. Legros" lower right. Provenance: Baldwin-Wallace College.

Summer in the Mountains, a fine early wood engraving by American artist Herbert Waters.  This image is pencil signed, titled and numbered as ed. 100..THe title is:  Summer in the Mountains, created and printed circa 1950.  This image measures 5 1/4X8 1/2 inches.  " Herbert Ogden Waters was born in Shantou, China, on November 15, 1903. The son of missionaries, he attended high school in Shanghai. Waters came to the United States to attend college, graduating from Denison University in 1926. He continued his studies at the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and Harvard University."
