Lithograph, image size 12 3/4 x 19 3/4 inches. Signed, titled and inscribed "To Edna-with Love, Renee & Chaim Gross 72" l.r., numbered "9/10" l.l. One of the first generations of direct carvers, Gross came to the US in 1921 and worked for the WPA in the late 1930's. He was an illustrator, sculptor and instructor teaching at the Education Alliance School in NYC.

This scene in London of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, otherwise known as the Brompton Oratory. The domed building in the background is the Royal College of Arts, where Anderson was studying at the time. Edition of 58. A finely detailed and well inked print with a rich drypoint burr.

This series of thirteen townscapes are images of shipping ports, market places, hotels, busy neighborhoods, historical buildings, castles, and cathedrals all surrounded by the element of water. They show the interplay and the importance of the waterways to the towns and their dependance on each other. Individual prints are titled in Dutch at the top center and were done c. 1660-1690.
