This is an original pencil signed etching by British artist Stanley Anderson.  The title is: The National Gallery, created and printed in 1925 in an edition of 109.  This image is pencil signed by the artist.  This impression is the second state an edition of 8, before the print collectors edition which was printed in an edition of 100 for the members.The image measures 8 3/4X11 1/4 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  This image appears in the Meyrick catalog as image number 167.  "One of the earlier group of Stanley Anderson’s scenes depicting the tramps of London, this image casts a somewhat cynical eye upon the established art in our major public galleries. The paintings hang unnoticed as the visitors sit, reading the newspaper or knitting, and the tramps lie asleep".  (Campbell)

This is a fine portrait etching by European artist Anders Zorn.  This pencil signed etching titled Guill II was created and printed in 1918.  The image measures 7 3/4X5 3/4 .  This pencil signed impression .  This image appears in the zorn catalog as image number 165.  This etching is in beautiful condition.

This is a fine example of the excellent portraiture by British artist Gerald Brockhurst.  THis portrait created and printed in 1944 is of Mary Mellon, the wife of well known founder of Washington's National Gallery of Art Paul Mellon.  The image measures 10X8 inches, and is hand signed and dated in pencil lower right border.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  A beautiful rich impression, Brockhurst at his best... Reference, Fletcher 81, printed in an edition of 75.

This is a fine original etching by French artist and print maker Louis Auguste Lepere.  The subject is Amiens Cathedral, created and printed in 1907.  The pencil signed impression measures 13 11/16X9 5/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet.  Very fine condition.  This image appears in the Saunier catalog as image number 344.  Printed in an edition of 150.

This is an original pencil signed lithograph by European artist Maurice deVlaminck.  The subject is Marine, L'Eglise, it was created and printed circa 1925, Published by Galerie des Peintres Graveurs, Paris with the blind stamp lower right. The image measures 8 7/8X12m 1/4 inches.This image appears in the Walterskirchen catalog as image number 182.

This is a fine line engraving by British artist Stanley Anderson.  The title is The Old Tinker.  This pencil signed impression measures 7 X5 1/2  inches, created and printed in 1933.  This image appears in the Anderson Catalog as image number 208.  The tinker is depicted soldering a patch to a leaking kettle while his wife is about to renew the cane seat of an old chair.  Anderson often returned to the subject of the wanderer, of itinerants such as wayfarers pedlars and gypsies making their way through town.  This engraving is in a modern frame with archival materials.

This is a very fine original hand colored drypoint etching by American artist Dorsey Potter Tyson.  The title is: Dragon Boat Festival, this etching was created and printed in 1929 in an edition of 100, this one is numbered as 42/100.  This pencil signed etching measures an image of 11 7/8X9 7/8 inches.  It is nicely framed in an orientalist frame with french matting.

This is an early scene of New York City from the river by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is New York Skyline, and also called The Sketch of New York Skyline.  This image was created and printed in 1921 in an edition of 75.  This pencil signed impression measures 7X5 inches.  It appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 103.  Printed on a buff toned watermarked laid type paper.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American sporting artist Edmund Osthaus.  This etching is titled: The Dare Devil, created and printed circa 1910.  The image measures 15 5/8X9 3/4 inches, printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Otto Kuhler.  The image is titled: Steamboat  Wharf, created and printed in 1925.  The image measures 8X10 3/4 inches.  "Although best known for his industrial designs, Otto Kuhler (1894-1977) is well regarded as a fine artist and draftsman. Born in Germany, Kuhler was the sole heir to his family's successful steel business, Kuhler Forges. After WWI however, the business and his family's fortune were in ruins. After living briefly in Dusseldorf, and partly due to the advice of friend Joseph Pennell, he took up etching and emigrated to the States in 1923. Otto Kuhler's etchings of begrimed industry sprang from the same optimistic response to technology that led to his colorful streamlined designs for the Milwaukee, Lehigh and other railroads in the 1930's." This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Joseph Pennell. He traveled down to Panama in 1912 to record the building of the Canal.  He created a series of images from that trip.  This image is titled Cranes at Miraflores Lock, Panama,  Printed in an edition of only 100.  This image measures 22 1/4X16 3/4 inches on a Fabiano watermarked, laid type paper.  Sheet size is 25 1/2X 20 1/2 inches.

This is a fine orignal etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is: Gloucester Ferry, this etching was created and printed in  1881.  The image is pencil signed lower right border, the image measures 9 3/8X14 5/8 inches.  This image appears in the Schneider catalog as image number 47.  Nice use of plate tone in the sea and sky.  

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Peggy Bacon, the title is: Promenade Deck, created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 500, published by The New Republic as a presentation print of their portfolio of 6 etchings.  The image measures 5 7/8X8 1/4 inches.  Flint 47.
