This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is The Debacle of De Lesseps, Panama.  This was part of his Panama Canal series that Pennell created in 1912, showing the construction of the Canal through Panama.  THe title refers to The French diplomat Ferdinand de Lesseps, who undertook the project in 1875 and failed.  The image measures 9 3/8X12 1/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight watermarked laid type sheet.

This is an original etching with aquatint by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is: Dans les Rochers,  created and printed in 1910.  The image measures 17 7/8X23 inches, printed on a medium weight laid type sheet with crown watermark.  Blind stamped lower left border.  A fine impressionistic view of an older couple watching the Fishing fleet set sail at sunrise.

A very fine original lithograph by New York artist Harry L Taskey. Image size 11 1/2 x 15 3/4 inches, c. 1935, edition of about 25, published by the New York City WPA Project, pencils signed and titled.

Etching and drypoint from 1922. Pencil signed in the lower right. One of a series of five etchings from his series "The Arteries of Great Britain." Published by Dickins in 1922, in an edition of 425. Catalog: Dickins 73. Image measures 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches on 9 1/2 x 12 1/4 inch wove type paper. The scene is of the open Swing Bridge, from a vantage point of the High Level Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne. An atmospheric print with selectively wiped plate tone. Walcot was born in Russia, the son of a British father and Russian mother.

This is an original pencil signed and titled woodengraving by American artist Bernard Brussel-Smith. The title of this work is "Shore Leave", it was created and printed in 1941. It has an image size of 6X4 inches and was printed in an edition of only 50 signed proofs.

This is a highly detailed original triptych by Japanese artist Toyohara Kunichika.  This image of a group of Courtesans, created as a three panel color woodblock, dated 1865.  The image measures 14 1/4X28 34 inches, site size, this woodblock is framed.  Nice condition rich colors.

An atmospheric print that makes good use of white space.

This is an original engraving by French artist Jean-Emile Laboureur (1877-1943)  The title is: La Promenade Sur Le Port, it was created and printed 1933 and was used as the presentation print for the Print Club of Cleveland.  In an edition of 235.  This engraving is hand signed in pencil lower left border, printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

Drypoint etching from 1921, pencil signed in the lower right. Plate measures 9 7/8 x 6 7/8 inches on 12 3/8 x 7 7/8 watermarked laid paper. Catalog: Wuerth 770. Edition of 50. A well inked impression with plate toning. Pennell was an important American etcher, lithographer and illustrator. Good friends with James McNeill Whistler, he and his wife co-authored his biography. Pennell was known for his continued experimentation with technique and style, producing cityscapes, landscapes and marine scenes. He also printed many of his own images.

This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Stow Wengenroth.  The title is: The Far Shore, Ogunquit, Maine, created and printed in 1957 in an edition of 200.  The image measures 8X13 7/16 inches.  The image appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 238.

This is a fine color woodblock print by Japanese artist Kawase Hasui.  This block was first carved and printed in 1931 , this is a later Heisei edition published by Watanabe.  The image measures 14 1/8X9 1/2 inches.  The Hasui seal is in the lower left corner of the image.  Beautiful condition, a very rich impression.

This is an original pencil signed etching by British artist Symour Haden.  The title is: The Island Opposite Boyle's Farm, created and printed in 1869.  The image measures 6 7/8X9 7/8 inches.  Catalog: Schneiderman 126.  This is the forth state of five.  "This island, Boyle Farm Island, is the second largest of three islands in the Thames River. It contains a single house, home to just one family. It is directly opposite the historic mansion of Boyle Farm, which is now known as the Home of Compassion in Thames Ditton in the Elmbridge borough of Surrey, England." (Annex)

This drypoint etching of the English landscape painter, Charles March Gere, c. 1927, measures 12 x 10 1/4 inches and is pencil signed on the lower right margin. Francis Dodd was born in Wales and trained at the Glasgow School of Art winning the Haldane Scholarship in 1893 enabling him to travel and study in France, Italy and Spain. During WWI he became a portrait war artist producing more than 30 portraits of senior officers. After the war he gained considerable notoriety for his watercolors as well as his printmaking.
