This etching is pencil signed, very richly printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  The image measures 9X12 inches.   Gorbio, France is a perched medieval village, high-up above Menton, in the southeastern corner of the Côte d’Azur.

This etching by Mortimer Menpes measures 12 3/8 x 6 3/8 inches, pencil signed, c. 1902, edition of 50, looking towards the Gothic Baldachin. Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself.

This is a three panel, triptych by Japanese artist Utagawa Yoshitsuya, created and printed in 1863 This subject is: Lord Yoritomo and His Entourage Ford the Ôi River.  This piece has the Censor's seal: Boar 3 aratame, and is signed Ichieisai Yoshitsuya ga on each sheet.  The image measures 14 7/16X28 7/16 inches.  This wood block is currently framed.

This is a Japanese woodblock by Utagawa Yoshitora.  A view of a Procession of Daimyo with Mt Fuji in the background.  This 3 panel, triptych measures 14 1/5X28 1/4 inches. Has the censor seals and signature printed in the block.  This wood block is framed.  Yoshitora was a student of Kuniyoshi.  In 1873 he moved to Yokohama and changed his name to Hoshu.

This image was originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York. The image measures 5 5/16X9 7/8 inches, printed on a medium weight wove type paper. This is a very fine impressionistic portrait of the Ballet Dancer Carrina Ari (1897-1970)  This etching was created and printed by German artist Ernest Oppler.  The image circa 1920 is pencil signed and numbered 79/120.  The image measures 9 3/8X6 inchesm printed on a laid type sheet, medium weight.  Oppler was a well known artist whose main subjects were the Ballet, Modern Dance and the Stage.

This is an original etching by British artist Mortimer Menpes.  The title Shaded Entrance was created and printed circa 1920.  The image measures 11 7/8X8 3/8 inches.  hand signed in pencil with the imp after his name, this means he printed this proof himself.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper with the Menpese watermark.

A great image of a Spanish bull fight, this etching with drypoint measures 10 1/8 x 11 1/2 inches, published in 1929 in an edition of 100, pencil signed and numbered. Hermine David was born and raised in Paris and at the age of 16 was accepted into the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, later going on the study at the Academy Julien. She was a well known painter and printmaker and was very active in the thriving artist community in Paris in the early 20th century. She was married to fellow artist Jules Pascin for several years, but in 1920 the couple divorced and David set up her own studio in Montparnasse. She went on to have a long successful career as an artist and illustrator and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1932.
