This image appears to be an early proof of the etching that was later printed by Vollard. The image measures 22 3/4X16 1/2 inches.It appears in the Wofsy catalog as image number 112. This etching was never hand signed in pencil by the artist.

This is an original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish. The title is A Gale at Fecamp, it was created and printed in 1886. The image including the remarques measures 13 3/4X15 3/4 inches. It is hand signed in pencil and also has the artist's estate stamp in the lower left border. This is Parrish's only etching with such complete remarques. Showing the influence of French artist Felix Buhot. The remarques revel Parrish's lively sense of humor, showing sketches of books with such titles as Philadelphia as a Summer Resort, Etching in Summer and other gems. This is a very rare etching by Parrish, and is from a trip he took to Fecamp in 1884.

A beautiful etching by Sir Francis Seymour Hayden measuring 7 x 13 inches, pencil signed on l.r., Schneiderman cat: 37, state VI/IX, 1860, printed on japan paper, label from Harlow and McDonald included. Sir Francis Seymour Haden was one of the most important British etchers of the 19th century, along with his brother in law, James Whistler. In addition to being a highly regarded artist, he was a successful surgeon, accomplished author and dedicated angler. He was a founder and the first president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and was knighted in 1894. This print was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1861, under "H. Dean," the anagram of Haden.

This etching is not framed.

This 1927 marine etching by the British printmaker Arthur Briscoe measures 9 7/8 x 15 7/8 inches, hand signed in inked and editioned as 58/75. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.
This is a very fine impression of the well known Whistler etching, "The Rag Gatherers", created and printed in 1857, this etching is plate signed, on the right side of the image. The image measures 6X3 1/2 inches. It is the fifth state of 5 with the edition of the two children in the interior space. This etching came to us framed with the Kennedy Galleries label on the back. Excellent condition, apparently printed on an antique laid type paper.
