This is a fine original etching by American impressionist artist Frank Benson.  The title is Elisabeth, a portrait of the artist's oldest daughter.  This image was created and printed in 1918 in an edition of 150 signed impressions.  The image measures 10X8 inches.  A fine impression with plate tone, there is some old glue residue on the back of the sheet where it was held down to a backing board.  Not into the image area.  Clearly signed in pencil.  A scarce image,  This image appears in the Ordeman catalog as image number 150.  This etching is housed in a period Foster Brothers,Boston,  Gilt Frame.

This is a fine color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is Cabinet de Toilette.  It was created and printed in1904 in an edition of 65.  It is hand signed by the artist in pencil and inscribed bon a tirer. It was published by Edmond Sagot in Paris.  The image measures 17 1/2X11 3/4 inches.  Nicely framed with archival materials.

This etching by Arthur Briscoe measures 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches. Ink signed and numbered on cream laid paper, 1924. Cat: Hurst-85. Framed. Briscoe is known as one of the finest marine etcher of the 20th. century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. He studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris.

This is a fine Modernist lithograph by Russian born artist Alexander Archipenko.  The title is: Coquette.  This lithograph, printed in blue is hand signed lower right in blue pencil.  The image measures 14X10 inches.  It was published by Associated American Artists in New York, in 1950.  It was printed in an edition of 150, it appears in the Karshan catalog as image number 31.  Archipenko was active in the Cubist Movement while living in Paris, he later moved to the USA.  This lithograph is framed and in very fine condition, the original AAA Label is on the back.

Etching and drypoint, early proof of this rare image, image size 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches, 1911, cat: Schwartz-76, inscribed "probedruck" (test print) l.l. and signed l.r. both in red crayon, blindstamp l.l. just below image. Corinth began his art career studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and went on to study under Bouguereau at the Academie Julian in Paris. He then returned to Germany and became a member and then president of the Berlin "Sezession".

This is a very fine original hand colored aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is: La Tasse De The', it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 19 1/4X 14 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper, "Arches" watermark.  Very fine condition, hand signed in pencil in the lower right in the image.

This is an original etching and aquatint from 1922. Unsigned. Plate 19 from Miserere: Son avocat, et phrases creuses, clame sa totale inconscience. Plate measures 21 x 16 inches in a silver 30 x 24 1/2 inch frame. Georges Rouault began his art career at age fourteen, when he began a five year apprenticeship painting and restoring glass. This appears to have had a heavy influence on his cloisonnist style, with the heavy black contouring and glowing colors resembling leaded glass. He began attending evening classes during this apprenticeship and in 1891 entered the École des Beaux-Arts, where he studied under Gustave Moreau. A devout Roman Catholic, his work was often religious, exploring themes of sin and redemption. Rouault is often associated with the Fauvist and Expressionist movements.

This is an original lithograph by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  It is titled The Cyclist.  It was created and printed in 1939 and originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 12 1/2X8 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This lithograph is clearly signed in pencil lower right by the artist.  One of his images from his circus series.

Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.

This is a rare hand signed impression of Hamburg Tavern by German social realist, Kathe Kollwitz.  This soft ground etching measures 7 5/8X9 5/8 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil lower right.  It is before the additional type setting done in the bottom margin. This etching is also signed by Felsing who was the printer of choice for Kollwitz.   A fine rich impression created and printed in 1901.
