Costigan.  This image is titled in pencil "Workers of the Soil", created and printed in 1932 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 8 1/4X13 3/4 inches, printed on a wove type sheet, hand signed in pencil.  Very fine condition.  Costigan spent 50 years working as a working farmer.

This etching by Mortimer Menpes measures 12 3/8 x 6 3/8 inches, pencil signed, c. 1902, edition of 50, looking towards the Gothic Baldachin. Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself.

This is an original mezzotint etching by British artist Percival Gaskell.  This view of river rapids has an image of 9 1/2X 13 5/8 inches.  Pencil signed lower right border, printed on a chin collet adhered to a thicker sheet.  Printed with a warm toned ink.  Gaskell is one of the best of the early British mezzotint artists.

A rare early engraving by Hieronymus Wierix after Pieter van der Borcht, printed with an image on both sides of the sheet. Each image measures 4 1/2 x 2 7/ 8 inches, 1583, a good impression on a very early laid type paper, published by 16th century book printer and publisher Christophe Plantin. Both images are scenes from Exodus; one side is titled 'Moses and the Israelites Beside the Red Sea", the other is "Moses Leading the Israelites out of Egypt".
