This is an original etching by American Ash Can School artist John Sloan.  The title is: Boys Sledding,  it was created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 100.  This impression is hand signed in pencil, titled and annotated a "100 Proofs in the lower border.  The image mesures 5 1/4X6 15/16 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet, with tack  holes where the artist held the sheet down to dry.  Very fine condition.

Etching, image size 6 3/8 X 14 9/16 inches, printed in 1942 by Charles White in an edition of 150, 2nd state proof, numbered "II", cat: Fletcher-370, pencil signed and dated. This atmospheric etching is a great example of the delicate lines and precise detail for which Arms was known. This image won several awards in the early 1940s; the Mrs. Henry F Noyes Memorial Prize for best print at the 27th Annual Exhibition of the Society of American Etchers, New York, N.Y. 1943; the First Prize in Black and White Section at the 12th Annual Exhibition of the Irvington Art and Museum Association, Irvington, N. J. 1945; and the First Prize in Black and White at the Annual Art Exhibition of the Bridgeport Art League, Bridgeport, CT. 1945.

One of the finest portrait etchings ever  created by British artist Gerald Brockhurst.  "Henry Rushbury", created and printed in 1930.  Rushbury, like Brockhurst studied at the Birmingham School of Art and the two later shared an apartment in London.  Rushbury was an accomplished etcher as well...  This etching is very richly printed, the subtle tonal range is incredible in person, our scan doesn't .do this image justice.  Absolutely one of the finest portraits .  This etching measures 10X7 3/8 inches, pencil signed and titled by the artist in the lower border, printed in an edition of 111.  Very fine condition.

This is truly a "tour de force" by American artist Leo Meissner.  The subject is a view of life in the world in 1935.  Strikes, Intolerance, Breadlines, Celebrity ect.  This image is hand signed, titled and editioned in pencil, 27/50.  The image measures 10 3/4X8 1/2 inches.  A fine commentary on the Social issues of the time.

This is an original etching by American artist Frank Benson.  The title is: Boats at Dawn.  It was created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 150.  The image measures 7 7/8X10 7/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil.  This image appears in the Ordeman catalog as image number 190.  This etching printed on a laid type sheet is in very fine condition.

This is a very fine original hand colored aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is: La Tasse De The', it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 19 1/4X 14 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper, "Arches" watermark.  Very fine condition, hand signed in pencil in the lower right in the image.

This is a fine original oil on canvas painting by American artist Daniel Strain 1847-1925.  This fine portrait of a Young Boy is signed upper left, and dated 1896.  The painting measures 18X16 inches.  Strain is best known for his portraits and landscape paintings.  One tiny spot of touchup, very minor.  Nicely housed in a gilt frame.

This is a fine color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is Cabinet de Toilette.  It was created and printed in1904 in an edition of 65.  It is hand signed by the artist in pencil and inscribed bon a tirer. It was published by Edmond Sagot in Paris.  The image measures 17 1/2X11 3/4 inches.  Nicely framed with archival materials.

This is an original lithograph by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  It is titled The Cyclist.  It was created and printed in 1939 and originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 12 1/2X8 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This lithograph is clearly signed in pencil lower right by the artist.  One of his images from his circus series.

This is a fine original etching by American artist John Sloan.  The title is: Sculpture in Washington Square, created and printed in  1925 in an edition of 100, printed with a blue toned ink.  Pencil signed titiled and numbered in the lower border.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  This image appears in the Sloan catalog as image number 218.  The title refers to the Garialdi statue by the Washington Arch in Washington Square.

This is a fine early printing of the well known etching, Bibi Valentin by American artist James M Whistler.  This etching created in 1859  is impression II/II before the plate was damaged.  It came to us with the original Kappel label on the back.  A fine rich impression printed on a thin laid japan type paper.  Signed  and dated within the plate.  Glascow 34.

This is a fine original color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is: La Coquette.  It was created and printed circa 1905.  It is hand signed with pen and ink in the lower right border.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  The image measures 14 1/8X10 3/16 inches.  This image appears in the Merrill Chase catalog as image number 22.  A fine example of his "belle epoque" style of expression.  In a fine Foster Brothers gilt frame.

This is a fine original etching  by American artist James Whistler.  The subject is: Steet at Saverne, it was created and printed in 1858.  This etching was part of the French Set, It is signed lower left,"Whistler", and also has the publishers name and address lower right edge of the sheet., "Imp, Delatre, Rue St. Jacques".  This image was created in 4 states, this one is 3/4.  The image measures 8 1/8X6 3/16 inches.  Printed on an antique laid type paper

This is a fine portrait study by British artist Gerald Brockhurst.  The subject is James McBey the well known British etcher.  This etching was created and printed in 1931 in an edition of 111.  This pencil signed impression measures an image size of 10 1/2X7 1/2 inches. This etching was Illustrated in  Fine Prints of the Year, 1931.  Cat. Fletcher 69.

This is an original oil on canvas painting of an Ox and Cart coming down the road.  The painting has 3 intials lower right, they seem to read: "W. ?. S."  Weve been unable to make out who the artist was. We feel the painting is from the late 1890's and is most likely American in origin.  The painting was expertly done.  The canvas laid on board measures 19X13 inches and is in a 19th century gilt frame.
