This 1927 marine etching by the British printmaker Arthur Briscoe measures 9 7/8 x 15 7/8 inches, hand signed in inked and editioned as 58/75. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.

THis is an original color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  This etching titiled: "Les Liseuses", The readers, also known as The Picture Book was created and printed in 1903, It is editioned as 45/65 in pencil lower left and hand signed by the artist in pencil lower right.  The image measures 19 1/8X14 7/8 inches.  

This is an original etching by American artist James Whistler.  The title is: "La Marchande de Moutarde"  It was part of the series titled: "The French Set", published and printed in 1858.  This etching is signed lower left corner of the image, printed on a thin Japan type laid paper.  According to the Glascow catalog this is state V/V before the plates cancellation.  The image measures 6 1/4X3 1/2 inches.

This is a scarce original pencil signed etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title of this work is: "The Harbor of Cannes, 1886" .  This image was created when in November of 1885 Parrish arrived in Cannes.  "The harbor was so beautiful that it inspired this etching." (R.S.)  The image measures 11 7/8X18 5/8, printed on a medium weight wove paper called "Imperial Japan".  Excellent original condition, a rich warm tone to the sheet.  This etching was last sold by Hermann Wunderlich, the label appeared on the back of the frame, this etching is currently matted, not framed.  An excellent rich impression..  This image appears in the Schneider catalog as image number 116.

This is a rare etching by British artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden.  This etching and drypoint is titled: The Fisherman.  It was created and printed in 1864.  Hand signed in pencil which is quite rare for this image.  Printed in a warm toned ink, the image measures 5 1/2X8 7/16 inches.  This etching is the 5th state of 5 with extensive use of plate tone in the water and sky.  Haden was an avid fisherman, and apart from doing etchings and being a well respected surgeon, he spent his spare time fishing across Britain.  This etching is matted and framed.

This is a fine hand signed etching by British artist James McBey.  The title is: A Mirage, it was one of his Venetian series, created and printed in , 1928 in an edition of only 76.  This image measures 11 13/16X14 3/8 inches.  This image was published in Fine Prints of the Year in 1928.  Fine use of plate tone in the sea and sky.

This is a scarce original drypoint etching by British artist William Russell Flint.  The title is: "Eve", it was created and printed in 1930.  The image measures 7 1/4X10 1/8 inches.  Signed in a sepia ink lower border, printed on an antique laid type paper, identified in the artists hand as from 1753.  This image is numbered as LXVI.  Printed with a brown toned ink.  Some toning from an early window mat but does not affect the image area.  Collectors or printers information on the back of the sheet.

This is an original pencil signed etching by French artist Jacques Villon. The title of this work is: "Maternite", it was created and printed in 1952, it is editioned as 15/75. The image measures 11X7 1/2 inches.

This is an original color aquatint etching by Austrian artist Luigi Kasimir.  The title of this work is: "Fleet Street,London", circa 1930, one of his best works.  The view is of St.Pauls and Ludgate Hill from Fleet Street.

The image measures 21 1/4X17 inches.  very nice condition, pencil signed in the lower left border, printed on a wove type paper.  It appears in the Kasimir catalog as image number 10.

This is a fine original drypoint etching by American artist Walter Tittle.  The title is: Church of the Heavenly Rest, which was built in New York City in 1929.  This etching is hand  signed in ink and measures 12X10 inches, nicely framed with archival materials.  A very rich impression, Tittle at his very best...

This is a very dramatic original etching by British Marine artist Arthur Briscoe. The image size is 8 3/8 x 15 3/8 inches, 1926, edition of 75, hand signed and numbered in ink. This etching is tastefully framed with what appear to be archival materials, provenance Egon and Joan Teichert Fine Prints, NY, label on the back of the frame. This is a fine original lithograph by German artist Lovis Corinth.  The title Tal Grund (The Valley) from the series  Vorfruhling im Gebirge (early spring in the Mountains).  It was published by Euphorion Verlag, Berlin in 1922 in an edition of 125 impressions.  This was part of a series of 5 lithographs.  The image measures 12 3/4X17 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

This is an original hand colored lithograph by American artist Don Freeman.  The title is: "To see the mayor".  This image was created and printed in 1937 in an edition of 25, far fewer were hand colored by the artist.  This image is pencil signed, the image measures 12 1/8X9 inches.  According to the catalog: "On his weekly radio program, Mayor La Guardia encouraged new Yorkers to bring their complaints to him personally.  Freeman drew a group of constituents making appointments with the mayor's secretary"  This lithograph is framed.

This is an original etching and aquatint by French artist Louis Legrand.  This image from his La Petite Classe series created in 1908 is titled Premiere Danseuse.  This impression is the 4th state of 6.  It is numbered as 1/100.  The image measures  15 3/4X11 1/4 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right, This etching is nicely framed with archival materials.  Published by G. Pellet, Paris, red stamp lower right border.
