This is an original oil on Canvas painting of a Grand Child''s Birthday present.  The painting is signed lower right corner but not easy to make out.  It looks like H. J. ..........?  The canvas measures 17X14 inches and came in a fine period gilt frame.  There is one repaired tear in the lower center of the canvas and some cracking to the paint.  Over all a very fine painting highly detailed.  Guaranteed to be   a mid to late 19th century work.  Most likely British or American origins...

This is a fine original pencil signed etching by American artist John Sloan.  The title is: Fifth Avenue Critics, created and printed in  1905 in an edition of 100.  This image measures 5X7 inches, printed on a medium weight laid type sheet with partial watermark.  Pencil signed, titled and numbered 100 proofs.  This impression was given to Mrs Paul Bartlett of Gloucester in 1916.  This image appears in the Sloan catalog as image number 128.  Very fine condition.

This is an original color aquatint  etching  by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is: Nocturne, (ou Le Flirt), The image measures 13 5/8X17 3/8 inches.  It is signed lower left by hand within the image.  This image appears in the Michael catalog as image number 35, created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 100.  Nicely framed with archival materials.

This is a fine original lithograph on Chine applique by American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  The title Before the Act, was created and printed in 1932 in an edition of only 40.  Pencil signed and dated, printed by Grant Arnold, Woodstock.  The image measrues 13 1/4X9 3/4 inches.  Very fine condition.  This image appears in the Davis catalog as image number 54.

This is a very rare original lithograph by New Orleans artist Caroline Wogan Durieux.  This impression is signed, titled and numbered 5/8 in pencil in the lower border.  Also inscribed in the border: "printed by the artist".  The image measures 14 1/2X10 inches.  
Caroline Wogan Durieux  is best known for her satirical, often pessimistic depictions of people and events. She was born in New Orleans in 1896, and showed early proficiency, studying art with brothers William and Ellsworth Woodward at Newcomb College, spent several years in Cuba. In Mexico by 1926, she befriended Diego Rivera , the muralist and social activist, and his wife, Frieda Kahlo . Durieux shared Rivera's leftist and egalitarian views.  

This is an original aquatint etching by American artist Doel Reed.  This image was created and printed in 1941 in an edition of 100.  This was originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 8 15/16X14 7/8 inches.  Pencil signed lower right.

THis is a rare color etching with aquatint by French/Japanese artist Tsuguharu Foujita.  The title is: Le Petit Garcon, it was created and printed in 1929, This is numbered as ix/x  9 of 10.  Before the later edition of 100 Published by Editions Artistiques Apollo, Paris.  From his series, Les Enfants.  The image measures 14X11 1/4 inches, on a sheet size of 20 1/2X16 1/2 inches.  Pencil signed, printed on a Chine colle on Japan paper.  Catalog Buisson29..  Very fine condition.

This is a James McNeill Whistler etching titled : Old Hungerford Bridge.  This etching and drypoint was created in 1861 as part of his Thames series.  The image measures 5 1/4X8 1/4 inches.  This impression is state iii/iv.  The plate was later cancelled after the 4th state.  This etching is framed.  It appears in the Kennedy catalog as image number 76.

This is one of the finest color block prints by French artist Paul Jacoulet.  The title: Retour De La Jungle, Tondano: Celebes, This image was created and printed in 1948, Pencil signed, with the Sparrow seal.  This image measures 15 3/4X12 inches.  The artist used a fine coral powder to give dimension to the compositional colors.  He also experimented with Gofun, an egg white derivative that produced a rich opaque effect.  This image appears in the Jacoulet catalog as image number 90.  Nicely framed, this wood block is in beautiful condition.

This is an original oil on canvas painting by French artist Pierre-Marie Beyle.  This work created circa 1880 measures 13X7 inches, no apparent signature visible.  Some cracking to the paint but very presentable as it now appears in a late 19th century gilt frame.  There is little doubt that this is the work of Beyle in style, subject and technique.

This is a very cool lithograph on zinc, image size 12 5/8 x 17 7/8 inches, 1919-1920, from a very small edition of 27 or fewer impressions, cat: Czestochowski-134, printed by Bolton Brown, pencil signed. Provenance: The Cleveland Museum of Art. Davies was a truly remarkable artist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries known for his dreamlike etchings and lithographs. In his catalog raisonne of Davies work, Czestochowski writes "In a time of social, political, scientific and artistic upheaval, Davies hewed to an unwavering inner vision, one of classically graceful figures in an eternal dance with nature." This image is a beautiful homage to the ancient Greeks, which Davies portrays in his distinctive style that is at once quite classical and quite modern.

This is an original aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is; Fleur d'Automne, created and printed in 1903 in an edition of 65, this one is numbered as 55/65  lower left border and hand signed in pencil lower right border.  The image measures 19 1/2X14 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  This image appears in the Merrill Chase catalog as image number 46.  Fine rich impression.

This is an original drypoint etching by French artist Paul Cesar Helleu.  It is identified as Elegante au Chapeau, created and printed C. 1900 in a small edition.  The image measures 15 3/4X11 1/8 inches. Twice  signed in pencil lower left border and lower left within the platemark.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper with the Helleu watermark. Richly inked burr still evident.  

This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Ivan Albright.  The title is: Self Portrait at 55th East Division Street, Chicago.  It was created and printed in 1947 in an edition of 250 impressions.  The image measures 14 1/8X10 1/8 inches.  Ivan Le Lorraine Albright (Chicago 1897-1983) was an American painter and printmaker noted for his meticulously detailed, ultra realistic depictions of decay and aging.

This is an original etching by American Ash Can School artist John Sloan.  The title is: Boys Sledding,  it was created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 100.  This impression is hand signed in pencil, titled and annotated a "100 Proofs in the lower border.  The image mesures 5 1/4X6 15/16 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet, with tack  holes where the artist held the sheet down to dry.  Very fine condition.
