This is a dramatic wood engraving of Pounding Surf on the Coast of Maine  by American artist, Leo Meissner.  The title is: Irresistible Force, created and printed in 1936.  This image is pencil signed and titled by the artist, printed in an edition of only 50.  The image measures 10X13 3/4 inches.  Very fine condition, matted not framed. Printed on a smooth wove type sheet.

This is an original etching by American 19th century printmaker, Stephen Parrish.  The title is: A Showery Day, St. Augustine  This image was created and printed in 1884.  The image measures 5 5/8X9 5/8 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil and has the title written in the artists hand in the lower margin.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This image appears in the Schneider catalog as image number 100.

This is an original etching by French artist Auguste Louis Lepere.  The title is: La Mare de la Prairie, Crèvecoeur, it was created and printed in 1913.  This appears to be an earlier state.  The image measures 6X10 inches.  It has the edition as 27/35.  This etching is hand signed in pencil lower right, printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  THis image appears in the Saunier catalog as image number 404.

Etching with drypoint, image size 4 1/8 x 12 3/4 inches, 1922, pencil signed.

This is a fine etching and drypoint by Scottish artist David Muirhead Bone.  The title is: Shrimp Boats, Great Yarmouth.  It was created and printed in 1935 in an edition of 92.  Pencil signed lower right, the image measures 7 1/16X11 13/16  inches.  This image appears in the Dodgson catalog as image number 464.  This etching is framed with archival materials.

This is a fine original chiaroscuro wood engraving by American artist Thomas Nason.  It was created and printed in 1937 as a presentation print for the Woodcut Society of Kansas City.  It came to us in the original Society folder.  The image printed with three blocks, Black, Gray and Olive inks.  The image measures 5X8 inches.  A beautiful rich impression.

This is a rare original drypoint etching by American artist Gifford Beal.  The subject is one of his Circus series, taken from the Ringling Brothers circus when it came to New York City..  This image is pencil signed and measures 8 3/4X122 inches.  It is numbered as 100 imp.   This fine etching came to us from the family  of the artist.

This is a fairly scarce etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is: Chelsea, No. II, it was created and printed in  1886, in an edition of only 20.  Hand signed in pencil by the artist. The image measures 6 1/2X9 1/2 inches.  This imag appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 114.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  Chelsea Bridge is a bridge over the River Thames in west London.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is: Portsmouth, NH,  this etching was created and printed in  1881.  The image measures 7 7/8X13 3/4 inches.  This image appears in the Parrish catalog as image number 46, signed, dated and titled in the plate.  This etching is glued down between boards, from the 19th century,  Light even toning to the sheet.

This is an original etching by French artist Charles Francois Daubigny, the image is plate signed and titled: Le Marais, (The Marsh)  it was created and printed in 1851  and is from the third state of six, iii/vi  This image appears in the Frankel catalog as image number D-84.  A fine impression on a chine collet adhered to a thicker wove type base sheet.  This is the edition with title, artist and printer in the lower border.  

This is an original hand colored etching by British artist Elyse Lord.  The title of this image is Bird with Hydrangea.  Created and printed circa 1930 in and edition of 75.  This image is hand signed, numbered 58/75 and titled: "Chinese".  The image measures 11 1/4X12 1/4 inches.  Printed on a thin japan type sheet.

This is a fine color aquatint by French artist Bernard Boutet de Monvel ..  It is titled Fillette a L'Ombrelle, created and printed in 1910.  The image measures 10 3/4X6 7/8 inches.  Signed in block letters in pencil lower right border.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  Numbered as 3/10.

Passerelle du Pont-au-Change, après l'incendie de 1621 (The Footbridge temporarily replacing the Pont-au-Change, Paris, after the fire of 1621, after Della Bella)1860.  Etching by French artist Charles Meryon, 1860.  This etching has an image size of 4 11/16X9 inches.  It is the 7th state of 9 and appears in the Delteil/Wright  catalog as image number 50.  Published in teh Gazette des Beaux Arts, vol. 8 Nov.1, 1860.

This is a beautifully energetic original etching with drypoint by French artist Hermine David. The image size is 9 7/8 x 8 1/8 inches, published in 1927 in a small edition of 40, pencil signed and numbered. A rich impression on a medium weight watermarked wove type paper. Hermine David was born and raised in Paris and at the age of 16 was accepted into the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, later going on the study at the Academy Julien. She was a well known painter and printmaker and was very active in the thriving artist community in Paris in the early 20th century. She was married to fellow artist Jules Pascin for several years, but in 1920 the couple divorced and David set up her own studio in Montparnasse. She went on to have a long successful career as an artist and illustrator and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1932.

This is a fine original color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  This image of a sleeping nude in the landscape is hand signed in pencil lower right and numbered as 33 lower left border.  The image measures 11 1/4X15 1/2 inches.  Printed on a medium weight Arches laid paper.
