This is an original pencil signed wood engraving by Latvian American artist Isac Friedlander.  This image is titled Self Portrait, New York and dated 1935.  The image measures 10 3/4X8 3/4 inches.  Isac Friedlander (1890-1968) was born in Latvia. In 1912 he went to Italy where he met and worked with Russian artist Maxim Gorky. During this period he also received his only art training, studying etching, drawing and relief printing at the Academy of Rome. In 1937, he emigrated to New York where he worked full time as an artist until his death. He is best known for his woodcuts and etchings, and many museums have works by the artist, including the Smithsonian, Bibliotheque Nationale, and the Brooklyn Museum.

This is an artists proof etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is Limoges, part of his French Church Series created and printed in 1932.  This etching is hand signed in pencil with an image size of 10 1/16X13 5/8.  This image is inscribed lower right: "Beautiful impression, pulled by D.S. and J.T.A."  Inscribed also as artist proof number III.  Printed on a J. Whatman watermarked laid type paper.  A beautiful impression.

Etching with aquatint, image size 7 7/8 x 10 7/8 inches, 1918-1919, state VII/VIII, cat: Czestochowski-69, alternate title "Far Prospect," pencil signed, framed. Davies was a truly remarkable artist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries known for his dreamlike etchings and lithographs. In his catalog raisonne of Davies work, Czestochowski writes "In a time of social, political, scientific and artistic upheaval, Davies hewed to an unwavering inner vision, one of classically graceful figures in an eternal dance with nature." This rare, early state etching is a perfect example of the combination of classicism and modernism of Davies' work.

This is a fine original etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  This etching is titled The Red Mill, also called The Red Barn, Southport.  The image measures 11 1/8X7 1/4 inches.  This pencil signed impression done in etching and aquatint was published in 1922 in a first edition of 25.  Beautiful tonal range and fine composition with extensive reflections in the water.  This etching was later printed with some color in the barn and sky.  Nicely framed with French matting.
