This is an original watercolor painting by American artist Chester Russell Loomis.  This 19th century painting of sailboats at sunrise has a  site size of 5X10 3/4 inches.  It is housed in what appears to be the original gold frame with gilt matting.  The frame measures 10 X15 3/4 inches.  The painting is hand signed C.R. Loomis lower right corner.  A few very light foxing marks, unobtrusive.  The work looks very fine just as it now appears.

This is one of the largest etched plates by French artist Maxime Lalanne, created in 1881, the title of this work is: Souvenir d'un Port Trouville, Calvados.  It is the second state of three with the sailboat remarque lower left and a rare pencil signature lower in the right hand border area.  The image measures 10X15 3/4 inches.  Richly printed on a medium weight simi parchment like paper.  The sheet size measures 15 3/4X19 1/2 inches.

This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Louis Lozowick.  The title is: Winter Fun, the view is a scene in Central Park in winter, facing South with the Plaza Hotel in the background.  This image was created and printed in 1940, published by Associated American Artists in New York, in an edition of 250.  The image measures 9 7/16X12 7/8 inches.  Very nice condition, printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  The image appears in the Flint catalog as image number 188.

This is a lovely original portrait by Anders Zorn,  Skerikulla, the  image measures 9 3/4 x 7 5/8 inches, 1912, cat: Hjert-159, pencil signed proof, printed on Van Gelder Zonin watermarked paper  Anders Zorn's artistic talents were obvious at an early age. At 15 he entered the Royal Swedish Academy of Art in Stockholm and at 20 years old, at a student exhibition, he entered his watercolor painting "In Mourning" which now hangs in the National Museum in Stockholm. This recognition was the start of a long and accomplished career for Zorn. This lively portrait of a young woman is a great example of the impressionistic portraits and figure studies for which he was known.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is: Towing to Windward, it was created and printed in 1881.  It has the SP number of 57 in the lower right corner.  The image is of the Gloucester Fleet becalmed. The schooner on the left is being towed in.   The image measures 3 1/8X7 1/4 inches.  Nice use of plate tone in the sky.  Printed on a hard surfaced wove type paper.

Aveline (1702-1760)  The title is L' Ete, it was created after the painting by Francois Boucher  This view of sleeping Puti, was created and printed circa 1750, printed by "Paris Ches Charpentier, rue st jacques au cog".  The image measures 11 3/8X8 7/8 inches.  The platemark measures 13X9 3'/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  We feel this is from the original 1700's printing and not a later restrike.
