This is an original oil on board painting by American artist Francis Stillwell Dixon.  This painting done circa 1940 measures an image of 4 3/4X6 3/4 inches, signed lower right Francis Dixon.  The painting is framed in a silver molding which measures 12X13 1/2 inches.  Very fine condition under glass.  On the back of the board is written the tiitle "North Easter"....

This is a rare hand signed impression of Hamburg Tavern by German social realist, Kathe Kollwitz.  This soft ground etching measures 7 5/8X9 5/8 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil lower right.  It is before the additional type setting done in the bottom margin. This etching is also signed by Felsing who was the printer of choice for Kollwitz.   A fine rich impression created and printed in 1901.

This is an original etching by American sporting artist Aiden Lassell Ripley.  This etching is hand signed in pencil and titled: Grouse on a Pine Bough, created circa 1940 this etching measures 9X12 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

This is a fine original etching by British artist James McBey.  This subject is The Sussex, it was created and printed in 1916.  On March 24, 1916 a German Submarine attacked the French passenger steamer called The Sussex which was then beached with the Bow blown off.  The procession showing the removing of the more than 50 people killed in the attack.  The image measures 8 3/16X15 1/8 inches.  Hand signed in sepia ink from an edition of 76.  Illustrated in Lumsden, The Art of Etching..This etching is framed.

This is an original plate signed etching by American artist John James Mitchell.  It is titled: A Young Republican.  It was printed in 1886 on a thin Japan paper tipped to a backing sheet.  This etching was published by Estes and Lauriat in 1886 in an edition of 40 impressions.  The image measures 5X 6 1/2 inches...

John Mackie Falconer

Etching, image size 3 x 5 3/4 inches, c. 1880, plate signed l.r. "JM Falconer"  Falconer was a Scottish-born American etcher, painter, and watercolorist. He belonged to the New York Etching Club, and was made an honorary member of the National Academy of Design in 1856. He is known for his picturesque sites of older buildings and rural ruins. Falconer was a friend of Thomas Cole, Asher Durand, Jasper Francis Cropsey and other artists of the Hudson River School. His works are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the New-York Historical Society; the Brooklyn Museum of Art; and the Columbus (Georgia) Museum.

This is a fine original etching by American artist Henry Farrer.  The title is: The Washerwoman.  It was created in 1877, this impression was done on a thin Japan sheet, published by Estes and Lauriat, Boston, 1886,  This impression was plate signed lower left corner.  The image measures 4 1/2X3 1/2 inches.

This is a fine plate signed etching by American artist Mary Nimmo Moran.  The title is Solitude,   This impression was printed in 1886 by Estes and Lauriat in Boston.  It was printed  on thin  Japan paper in an edition of only 40.  The image measures 5 1/2X7 1/2 inches.  The sheet is tipped to a thicker support sheet.  Mrs. Moran, wife of Thomas Moran was a member of the New York Etching Club.

This is a fine impression of the well known etching by American artist Eliza Pratt Greatorex.  The title is: Pond at Cernay La Ville,  It was printed on a thin Japan type paper in 1886.  Published in an edition of 40 by Estes and Lauriat in Boston.  The image measures 4 3/8X6 3/4 inches.  This image is plated signed lower left and dated 1880.  A wonderful rich impression, the thin Japan sheet is tipped onto a thicker support sheet.

This is a fine original etching by American artist William M. Chase.  The subject is: The Court Jester.  This impression was printed on a thin Japan type sheet, tipped to a heavier backing sheet.  This was published by Estes and Lauriat, Boston in 1886.  This printing on Japan type paper was limited to an edition of 40.  The image measures 5 3/4X3 1/2 inches.  This impression is signed within the image lower left.

This is a very fine original color etching by Czech artist Tavik .F. Simon.  The title is: Hradcany from the Belvedere it was created and printed in 1920.  Hand signed in pencil lower border numbered as 46.  This image appears in the Novak catalog as image number 331.  The etching is in fine condition, nicely framed.

This is a fine oil on board painting by American artist, Jay  H. Connaway.  This painting is signed lower right and also signed and titled on the back of the board. "A Big Wave", it was created circa 1940's when Connaway lived and painted on Monhegan Island.  This was also after he was elected as a Member of the National Academy of Design.  The painting mesures 8X10 inches, in a fine period frame.

THis is an early etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is: La Porte du Fermier, ( Farmer's Doorway, it was created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 75.  The image measures 6X4 inches, hand signed in pencil.  This image appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 84.

This is a fine original lithograph by American artist Reginald Marsh.  The title of this work is Girl Walking, it was created and printed in 1945 in an edition of 250, sold by Associated American Artists in New York.  This pencil signed impression has an image size of 10 9/16X7 7/8 inches.  Catalog S.28..

This is a fine original lithograph by American artist Ivan Albright, The title is:" Fleeting Time Thou Hast Left Me Old"  This lithograph was created and printed in 1945 in an edition of 250, published by Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 13 3/4X9 5/8 inches.  Hand signed and titled in pencil in the lower border.
