This is an original pencil signed etching by American Ash Can artist John Sloan. The title is Bandit's Cave, it was created and printed in 1920 for the New Republic. It was created in an edition of 500. The image measures 7X5 inches, full margins, in very nice condition. It appears in the Morse catalog as image number 195.
This is a fine moderist study of a young girl, oil on canvas, unsigned but very similar in the style and manner of American artist Robert Henri. This work measures 16X14 inches. Has a couple of minor repairs. The style of roughly applied highlights to the face look very much like the way Henri worked but since this is unsigned we are only able to represent this as an early 20th century American School portrait.
