This is an original etching by American artist Leonard Baskin.  It is a portrait of Hercules Seghers, the Dutch old master painter.  This portrait was created and printed in 1962.  It appears in the Fern-OSullivan catalog as image number 432.  The image measures 17 3/4X14 1/2 inches. Printed in two colors. It is pencil signed and editioned as 1of 12 in roman numerals.  Beautifully framed with archival materials.

This is a very fine impression of the well known Whistler etching, "The Rag Gatherers", created and printed in 1857, this etching is plate signed, on the right side of the image. The image measures 6X3 1/2 inches. It is the fifth state of 5 with the edition of the two children in the interior space. This etching came to us framed with the Kennedy Galleries label on the back. Excellent condition, apparently printed on an antique laid type paper.

This is an original etching by American artist James Whistler.  The title is: "La Marchande de Moutarde"  It was part of the series titled: "The French Set", published and printed in 1858.  This etching is signed lower left corner of the image, printed on a thin Japan type laid paper.  According to the Glascow catalog this is state V/V before the plates cancellation.  The image measures 6 1/4X3 1/2 inches.

This is an original oil on canvas landscape with cows painting.  Created late 19th century this painting is signed lower left:  It looks like Neil..?  But we are unable to attribute it to a specific artist.  We are selling this as Nineteenth Century American School. The painting measures 12X20 inches and came to us in what appears to be the original 19th century gilt frame.  The painting is in good shape, one tiny repair in the bottom center of the image.

Original etching and drypoint by French artist of the Belle Epoque era, James Jacques Tissot.  The title is: L'Ete, this image was created and printed in 1878 in an edition of 100 unsigned proofs.  The image measures 14 3/4X8 3/8 inches.  Printed on a cream toned laid paper. The sitter is Kathleen "Kate" Newton (1854-1882), Tissot's Irish muse and mistress from 1871-82. Tissot portrayed her as a personification of summer in this etching. This image appears in the Wentworth catalog as image no. 43...A very fine impression in an archival picture frame.

This is an original etching by American artist James MacNeill Whistler.  The title is Drouet, Sculptor, it was created in 1859, plate signed,dated and titled.  The image measures 8 7/8X6 inches.  This etching is according to the Glascow catalog is image 2 a.  This etching appears in the Kennedy catalog as image number 55.  A rich impression printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  The subject is: M. Drouet, the French sculptor.'  This etching came with the original label from print dealer Frederick Keppel.

This is a fine original aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is: Le Manege (The Merry-Go-Round)  it was created and printed in 1905.  The image measures 16 1/2X23 1/2 inches.  Hand signed within the image area upper left.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This image appears in the Michael catalog as image number 129.

This is a very fine Hudson River School landscape, oil on academy board, 9 3/4 x 18 3/4 inches, c. 1880s, unsigned, in an ornate period gilt frame. Although this painting is unsigned it is quite well painted, evidently by a very competent artist.

This is an original oil on board painting by American artist Henry Mortikar Rosenberg.  This study of a museum visitor was originally in the collection of the Mobile Museum of Art, Alabama.  The painting is signed lower right in pencil and inscribed on the back.  The image measures 16X12 inches.  A few minor spots of touch up, nothing major.  A fine modernist impression.  Rosenberg studied under Frank Duveneck.

This is a fine dramatic study of old ships in the harbor by American artist Stow Wengenroth..  This image is from Boothbay Maine.  It was created and printed in 1937 in an edition of 65.  This lithograph is hand signed in pencil and has an image size of 8 7/8X15 3/4 inches.  It appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 71.  A striking image, one Wengenroth's best..

This 1927 marine etching by the British printmaker Arthur Briscoe measures 9 7/8 x 15 7/8 inches, hand signed in inked and editioned as 58/75. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.

This is an original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is A Gale at Fecamp, it was created and printed in 1886.  The image including the remarques measures 13 3/4X15 3/4 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil and also has the artist's estate stamp in the lower left border.  This is Parrish's only etching with such complete remarques.  Showing the influence of French artist Felix Buhot.  The remarques revel Parrish's lively sense of humor, showing sketches of books with such titles as Philadelphia as a Summer Resort, Etching in Summer and other gems.  This is a very rare etching by Parrish, and is from a trip he took to Fecamp in 1884.
